Turning the Tide

Look what the postman just delivered! For someone who’s supposed to be able to tell you about these things in words, I’m really struggling to describe the feeling of seeing everything I’ve worked and hoped for come together. Choc Lit produce the most beautiful covers; I’m utterly thrilled with mine and I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to hold a copy of Turning the Tide in my hands at last.

What a lovely cover Chris. It does look nicer in the photo, it's got brighter colours, which make it more appealing.

The cover looks brilliant Chris. Oh well done, I'm so happy for you ... more celebrating for you methinks!

Just caught up with your last post - somehow it got past me. Glad to hear you and the Red Shoes had a great time at the Ball and (nearly) got home without a hitch!

Hi Sarah, thank you - it looks even prettier in real life, you can't see the silver title properly here.

Pondside, I feel as if half of PC has been on this journey with me. Celebrate? Good idea!

Jude, Aw! Cheers m'dear. Thank you.

Mags. Def! Champagne o'clock!

JJ, oh, thank you - has your moment of writing fear passed? Hope so. Keep going.

Jeanne, thanks very much, that's kind of you. Must pop over for Monday poem which I missed yesterday.

Aren't they beautiful. I can't wait to receive my copy and get reading.

I've promised myself one of your Tom's paintings if (no, must be positive and say 'when') I ever get published). x

Well done Chris - many many congratulations. Having just held our own book - albeit local history and therefore not requiring much in the way of imaginative story telling - it is an absolute thrill. I know just how you feel.

Presumably Amazon will rush me my copy in good time. Really looking forward to it.

Congratulations, Chris. Isn't it the most amazing feeling! And the good thing is, it doesn't get any less exciting as the books pile up so you have it to look forward to all over again.

Especially when the covers are as great as that.

Like Debs, I've made a mental note to buy one of your hubby's paintings some day when I'm not so much the struggling writer. :)
